This holiday season, let’s not forget our brave men and women in the service or our courageous veterans. I thought this blog would be appropriate since on December 7, 1941, the United States suffered a horrible loss of human life at Pearl Harbor—A day that will go down in infamy, President Theodore Roosevelt.
One way, I have remembered was by participating in THE HERO’S JOURNEY HOME, an anthology featuring six heartfelt stories that will make you laugh one minute and cry the next.
Not only are the proceeds from the book sales benefiting VETSPORTS, a foundation that helps veterans suffering from PTSD, but one of the stories is also an actual, autobiographical account written by BT Urruela, a combat veteran, of the hell he endured to the road to recovery.
Both my mother and I read it, and by the time we finished reading it, we were both crying.
Personally, it was an absolute honor to be included in such a worthy project with these highly talented authors.
If you do purchase a copy of THE HERO’S JOURNEY HOME, please know your money will be going to such a worthy cause. For further information about VETSPORTS, visit at https://www.vetsports.org
